The fitness chain nose-dived $400 million in valuation, from $5.3 billion on March 14 to $4.9 billion on March 19, just days after an Alaska woman revealed she was banned from the gym for taking photos of a member who claimed to be transgender shaving them face in the women’s locker room.

The Daily Mail’s report also noted Planet Fitness’ shares were down by 13.59% compared to a month ago.
Patricia Silva, a member of a location in Fairbanks, Alaska, detailed that she saw “a man shaving in the woman’s bathroom,” in a video shared by X account Libs of TikTok earlier this week.
On Tuesday, the conservative account, which is called for a boycott of the gym, shared an update regarding the valuation drop.
“Whoa. Planet Fitness saw $400 million wiped off its value since we broke the story of them allowing men in female locker rooms and then banning the women who exposed it,” Libs of TikTok wrote.

“Turns out people don’t want to support companies who cave to gender pseudoscience and allow men in women’s private spaces!”
The post added the hashtag #BoycottPlanetFitness and “Don’t let up! Keep it going!”
Silva claimed a 12-year-old girl was also in the locker room at the time and she appeared to be “frightened” by the trans member’s presence.

Robby Starbuck tagged Planet Fitness in a post and wrote, “It looks like letting men into the women’s locker room where they can spy on them while they change (including underage girls) is NOT super popular!”
He added: “This pain will continue until you stop letting men into women’s spaces. We won’t stop. #BoycottPlanetFitness.”

Starbucks included a photo of the gym’s stock dropping in the last week.
Planet Fitness confirmed Silva’s membership was canceled because he violated the policy of taking photos and/or videos in the locker room.
Libs of TikTok also shared what appears to be “an actual Planet Fitness commercial” that makes “a mockery of women” as it shows a new perceptibly trans member not knowing which locker room to use.
“It’s a joke to them,” the account wrote. “WOMEN ARE NOT SAFE AT PLANET FITNESS!!”
