Easter Weekend Of Sport At Boundary Park! – News

It’s set to be an action-packed end to the month at Boundary Park, with a host of sporting events taking place over the Easter weekend.

There are four matches being played across two sports, with over 100 players in total taking part in the games.

Latics vs. AFC Fylde – Friday 29 March (3:00pm KO)

Kicking off the weekend, Latics play host to AFC Fylde in the National League on the Friday.

It’s a big game for both teams, with Oldham battling for a place in the play-offs, and Fylde looking to secure their safety from the drop.

While tickets are available on the day, supporters are strongly encouraged to purchase in advance as it is cheaper, with advance admission being as follows:

Waterhead Warriors U11s vs. Higginsshaw U11s – Saturday 30 March (11am KO)

The first of two Rugby League matches on Saturday, the two youth teams will compete in the Johnny Blair Memorial Match.

Johnny Blair played 115 games for Roughyeds in the 1970s, before sadly passing away from cancer in 2011.

Waterhead Warriors vs. Rochdale Mayfield – Saturday 30 March (12:30pm KO)

Following on from the Johnny Blair Memorial Match, Waterhead Warriors will take on Rochdale Mayfield in the Standard Cup.

The Standard Cup sees local amateur Rugby League teams compete in a knockout format.

Having been held since 1904, it was historically played on Oldham Roughyeds’ Watersheddings’ ground, before moving to Manor Park off Ashton Road in Hathershaw.

Admission is £5 for adults and £3 for concessions, with tickets gaining supporters entry to both games that day.

Alternatively, hospitality in the Broadway Suite, which includes pie and peas is £20, with a Private Executive Box and pie & peas being £250 and £300 for 10 and 12 respectively.

Oldham Roughyeds vs. Rochdale Hornets – Sunday 31 March (3:00pm KO)

To round off the weekend, Roughyeds welcome local rivals Rochdale Hornets to Boundary Park in what will be a closely-fought contest, with both teams tipped to do well in League 1 this season.

Supporters will be seated in the Joe Royle Stand, with admission being as follows:
